Christmas Cards

I have not been totally slacking this past month :-)  We had a Christmas Card Buffet the end of November and wanted to share some of the pictures with you.  A little late, I know. 

 For the Noel card, I embossed both the white background and the wreath with Petals-a-Plenty.  To make the wreath, first punch out a 1/3/4" circle and then use the 2 3/8 scallop punch over that.  Easy peasy.

 This card is great for using up scrap pieces.  I just needed to use a ruler so it wouldn't be so crooked :-)

 When I first saw the Bootiful Occasions stamp set, I knew I had to have it.

 I had quite a few of my customers buy the ornament bundle set and wanted to make sure that I included this in the cards.  Just another example of how to use the set.  This card looks great in all of the In-Colors.

 This is my take on the triple layer stamping.  I think it needs a bow or something else on it.  Might have to revise this for next year.

Another great way to use the Pennant Parade stamp set.  This is also showed my customers to not throw away the frames after they use their labels dies because they can used that as a frame also.

Even though I do not like a lot of snow, the Snow Much Fun set is great to work with.

I saw this card form another demonstrator and had to try it out myself.  It is a little hard to see, but the frame is embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  I gold embossed the baby Jesus and the star.  I used two post it notes to mask the area that I wanted to stay white and used my sponge to the rays coming from the star.  This is one of my favorites.

Busy month

This past month has been super busy.  The time just flew by.  Before I knew it, Christmas was here.  I was decorating up until last week.  I was very late on getting my Christmas cards out, but I think most everyone received them by Christmas (I hope).

We were able to spend Christmas Eve morning with my Mother and Father-in-Law, my step son and his girlfriend, and my step-son's mom.  We all went in on his gift and wanted all of us to be there to see his reaction.  Now this is a kid that does not show much of a reaction, but he was all smiles.

Christmas day, we had my family and my husbands family over for dinner.  I was even able to Face-time with my sister so she could see everyone open their presents from her and we could see her open the presents from us.  Wrapping paper was all over the place.  I love watching people open their presents.  I enjoy it more than opening mine.  I just love all the smiles and excitement.  I live finding the perfect gifts.  Some are getting harder to find gifts for.  I am definitely going to have to start early this year.

I hope Santa was able to bring you what you wanted for Christmas this year.

Springtime Vintage Fabric - No sew gift bag

On Saturday I had a workshop for Sandy and her friends.  Sometimes I give away a door prize for attending a workshop.  The door prize for this workshop was some red and white Christmas ribbon and it was in a gift bag that I made using Springtime Vintage fabric, Rose Red Seam binding, and the Big Shot Fabric Adhesive roll.  The adhesive roll is amazing, especially since I can't sew.

The purchased the Springtime Vintage fabric while it was on the clearance rack for $0.99.  That was 3 fat quarters for only $0.99.  What a deal.  Unfortunately, it is now sold out.

However, there are still some great fabrics available in the clearance rack.  I am going to make a bunch of these cute little bags for all my club girls using the Deck the Halls Designer Fabric.

Christmas Card Buffet - Register Today

I will be having TWO more Christmas card buffets this month.  One will be on November 10th and the other on November 28th. 

What is a Christmas card buffet you ask?

A Christmas card buffet is where I have 8 different Christmas card designs for you to choose from.  All of the cards are pre-cut and the embellishments are included.  All you have to do is stamp and assemble your cards.

The minimum amount of cards to make is 6, but you can make as many as you would like.  Last month, one person made 13 cards in less than 3 hours.  These designs will be different from Octobers buffet, so if you attended one last month, you will want to attend this one also.

When:  November 10th
Time:  1-4 pm

Cost:  $3.00 per card (minimum 6)

The New Stampin' Trimmer is Here!

Introducing the new and improved Stampin' Trimmer! Although paper trimmers are a common crafting tool, this trimmer was designed exclusively by paper crafters for paper crafters-and because it was made by Stampin' Up!, you know it's a cut above the rest!
