Open Sea

Open Sea is one of my favorite sets.  I am sad to see it go, but excited for new stamps to become a favorite.

I wanted to try a different card layout for the ladies.  I get bored with the same layout all the time.  But what to do.  So I hit pinterest for some inspiration and came up with this.

Now, I know this looks like a similar layout, but the Ship layer opens to the right and the anchors open to the left.  It's like two cards in one.  The bow is holding the ship layer down.

We made this for Father's Day or for a masculine birthday card.  Here is the inside of the card.

The larger base is cut at 8 1/4" x 4 1/4" and scored at 2 3/4".
Smaller card is cut at 7" x 3" and scored at 3 1/2"

The "anchor" sheet is cut at 4" x 2 1/2"
The Log background is cut at 5 1/4" x 4"
The ship and Father's day is cut at 3 1/4" x 2 3/4"

Hip Hip Hooray - Happy Birthday

We just had our monthly club meeting and I just had to use the Party Pop Up Thinlet Dies.

Well, let's just say the ladies loved the dies!

Below is the card we made.

We used the Cherry on Top Washi Tape, Cherry on Top Designer Series paper and the Hip Hip Hooray Thinlet Die on the front of the card.  We just cut the sides of the Hip Hip Hooray so we could put it on the front of the card.

Now for the inside.

We used the Happy Birthday for the inside of the card.  Key thing to remember with the pop up is to make sure you score your card BEFORE you run the thinlet through the Big Shot.

Also, we used the Balloon Celebration bundle - Stamp set and balloon punch for this card.  Get the bundle before it goes away at the end of the month!!!

Thank you for stopping by!
