It's My Party

Here is a quick look at the birthday card we made this month using the Party Wishes Bundle.

We ran Whisper white paper through the big shot with the Confetti Textured impressions Embossing Folder and used our sponges to add on the indented side of the paper.  This way the confetti stayed white and colored the background of the paper.  Some of the ladies also used Crushed Curry in the background to pull the color from the candles in the designer series paper in the background.

Below is an example from the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog for this set.

To order any of the items to make the cards above, please click on the items below.  For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product.

That's not all!  Between now and March 31st, for every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), your name will go into a drawing for a FREE Big Shot ($110 value).  IF you already have a big shot, you can get the same amount in Stampin' Up product.  Drawing will be on April 1st.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love Blossoms

This weekend we focused on Valentine's cards and a Birthday Cards with new items from the Occasions
Catalog.

Everyone was able to choose whether they wanted the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for their heart or a solid Rose Red Heart.  We also used the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit to adorn the card with pearls and ribbon.

Tips for using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlets Die -

  1. Big Shot Sandwich - Magnetic Platform, Precision Base Plate, Glimmer paper with glitter side FACING DOWN, Heart Die, Clear Plate.  Run through 4 times.
  2. If you have the glitter side facing the die, you risk losing quite a bit of the glitter and end up with white paper.
  3. Because this is such a intricate die, use the new Big Shot Die brush to help get all of the little pieces of paper out.  It worked great.  Just don't push too hard or you risk ripping some of the delicate pieces.
If you would like to order any of the items to make this card, please click on an item below.  If you order just the materials and not the Big Shot, you qualify for a free Sale-a-Bration item.

PLUS - for every $50 you spend during Sale-a-Bration time, your name will be entered into a drawing for a FREE Big Shot.  Drawing will be held on April 1, 2016.  If you already have a Big Shot, you can order up to $110 worth of product free.  Just my way of saying Thank you.

Until next time, I hope you have a great day!

August Club Card

We did two cards this month for my clubs.  You saw the Peacock card earlier.  The other one we did is a play on one in the catalog.  We embossed  a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 sheet of whisper white with clear embossing powder.  We then cut 3 nested flowers using the Floral Frames Framelits.

We then used a brayer to color each label.  Because the pattern was embossed, the ink did not stay on that spot.  This is a great way to create a custom design on your paper.  I hope you like it as much as they did.

Club Card for August

This is one of August's club cards.  Don't you just love the peacock in the World Treasures stamp set?  When I first saw it, I just had to have the stamp set.

I tried out the tapping technique with markers on the feathers.  It looks much better in person.  I need to work getting a light box for my taking pictures of my cards.

The end of June I had an Occasions class that showcased the Embellished Events stamp set.  Below are the cards we created with the set.
This one is just like the one in the catalog.  They loved the card and I wanted to show them how easy it is to make.
This one was inspired by another card that I saw, except it had a baby duck in place of the bells.  They didn't really need a baby card, so I switched the colors and the image.
This was the masculine birthday card that we made.  I got the colors from the World Spectacular DSP.  If you find a designer series paper that you really like, use the colors in the paper to build your card.
This was the "girly" birthday card that we made.  Don't you love the Chevron Embossing folder?
This last card is also similar to the one in the catalog - at least by us using the rhinestones for the champagne bubbles.

Which card is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!
